WHO COULD USE CRYOGENIC DEFLASHING SERVICES?

Kryospace provides cryogenic deflashing services to molders and OEM manufacturers that make injection molded, extrusion molded and compression molded parts.

WHAT MATERIALS CAN WE DEFLASH?

We can deflash anything and everything made out of rubber as long as they fit in the following parameters:

1) 6 inches in diameter.
2) Flash Thickness up to 0.1mm ( 100 microns).

HOW DO WE DEFLASH THE PARTS

We provide multiple methods to remove flash from molded parts. The location and intensity of the residual mold flash will determine which process is the most suitable.

Our Cryogenic Deflashing process utilizes liquid nitrogen to freeze the parts while they are tumbled and blasted with plastic media. This cryogenic deflashing process is able to remove mold flash from difficult to reach areas including cross-holes, blind holes, and other difficult geometries.

The Cryogenic Tumble Deflashing process is suitable for removing external mold flash through cryogenic freezing and tumbling. This process removes mold flash from parts by having them tumble against one another in a cryogenic environment.
